Boruto Manga Chapter 51 : Sacrifice – Naruto’s New Form

I have got into manga reading so much that I prefer the manga over the anime. Just kidding, I love both of them equally.

Welcome back to anime reviews. Boruto Manga Chapter 51 is out and, it contained a lot of controversial information that we need to sink our teeth into to decipher. The level of information portrayed in this chapter is mind-blowing.

The main plot point of this series and the first of the events leading up to it might have been revealed. Let’s dive in.

In the last chapter, we saw Boruto jumping into the enemy’s line of sight to save his sensei Sasuke. He revealed some mind-blowing information relating to the inability that ishiki has to kill Boruto.
Boruto reveals information from when he faced off against Boro concerning the ‘divine’ tree, the ten tails.

The time limit that was in effect while Jigen was in existence had been erased due to the ‘existence’ of Boruto’s Karma seal. Boruto being a half Otsutsuki works into their equation of world domination.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Back at Konoha, Shikamaru learns the truth about the ten tails from Amado. He tells him that for it to come to life, it must be fed an Otsutki sacrifice to attain life.

Judging by this construct, ten tails needed all the powers of all the nine-tailed beast to transform. Naruto currently possesses all the abilities of the nine-tailed beasts, so can he be considered as a product of the Otsutsuki clan?

Hinata is also directly an heir to the Otsutuki clan due to their lineage. Toneri, the Otsutki member on the moon, confirmed this. So by that definition, Boruto is already a full Otsustki but, with the imprinting of the Karma seal by Momoshiki, he has become a true vessel, and hence possesses ‘great’ powers. He might be the greatest asset to Kara and cannot, under no circumstance, kill. Comment your views about my theory down below.

Amado further iterates that the reason that Otsutki invades earth in pair is so that one can be a sacrifice to the ten tails and, the other can take on that plan. Kaguya came to earth but lost knowledge regarding what she was doing. She was sealed during the events of the great ninja war and, Jigen was lurking in the darkness then. Kawaki, getting imprinted with the Karma seal, was all part of his plan. With the addition of Boruto, he has additional help.

The concept of Karma was always a fail-safe so that if either one of the Otsutki members dies, they can be revived, in their respective vessels. That is the reason why Ishikki is adamant about obtaining Kawaki.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Amado also reveals that the revelation of Boruto possessing a karma seal changed a lot of things. The relation between the power of the divine tree and the power that the sacrifice possesses is an important matter. The younger the sacrifice, the more sustenance ten tails will receive. Amado describes Boruto as a ‘very powerful’ entity, who is to become a complete Otsustki.

Kawaki is directing his pent up frustration on Amado. He is irritated because he is confined in a place. He has lost his composure and his karma seal was an inevitable weapon towards defeating Ishikki. As Boruto fights for his life against Ishikki, he is jealous and frustrated at the likeliness that he has become a useless pawn in Kara’s game.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Boruto, as a character, was not impressive. He was a brat who was selfish and always put his opinions first. He has changed so much, to an extent that, he feels like an underdog that we can root for.

Boruto removes a Kunai from his pocket and places it on his neck, and threatens to kill himself if Ishhiki moved. Ishikki shrinks Boruto’s kunai knife into a different space. Sasuke and Boruto are faced with a difficult choice. Uncertain of the life span that Ishikki posses they thinking of outrunning him.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Sasuke gets pummeled by Ishikki and Boruto as he uses a Rasengan to get shot down. Ishikki goes on a rampage and wants to break every bone in his body. He outrightly tells Boruto that he will destroy him, but he won’t kill him. He also tells him that the is to be sustenance for the ten tails.

Naruto, the Hokage of the leaf village, rushes to aid Sasuke and Boruto. Some people have said that Naruto has become a workaholic and a person who does not care for his family. I believe that he is ‘quite misunderstood’ in this aspect. His goal from the beginning was to save the whole village from danger, and he has done it time and time again. The portrayal of Naruto as a full-fledged adult is what makes this series amazing.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Naruto rushes towards Sasuke and Boruto’s location but it seems that his sensory skills have been blocked by Ishikki. Naruto is out of ideas as to what to do and asks for advice from Kurama. It’s been a long time since we have seen Kurama in the flesh. After all those long battles, Kurama has had time to rest up.

Naruto just charges in like always. It shows however old you become that, the inner child in you does not fade. Even Kurama acknowledges that. He suggests that there is something Naruto can use on Ishikki if he feels it’s a situation of do or die. Naruto agrees.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump
Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

As Boruto is beneath Ishikki’s feet, strangling for his dear life, Naruto arrives and saves him. Ishikki taunts Naruto but, Naruto’s convictions are above him. He tells Kuruma that he has been ready to die ever since he thought about being the Hokage. Every Hokage in the Konoha village has sacrificed and put their lives on the line to safeguard the village and its people. It is Naruto’s turn now to do the same.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

The journey with Naruto is coming to an end, and the signs are everywhere. Naruto unveils a new form. It is not the form that we have seen during the ninja war.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

The only guess I have regarding this form is due to the fusion of Hashirama cells from his hand and Kyubi Chakra. It is a new form in which Naruto may be able to use Kurama’s powers and wood-style Jutsu. His powers might amplify far greater than his body may be able to handle.

Is this the end for Naruto, The Hokage of the leaf village as we know it or, will he persevere and defeat Ishikki in his quest for justice?

Until Next time. See ya!

One Piece Manga Chapter 992 : Remnants – The Akazaya Nine v Kaido

As Oda Senpai was on a 2-week hiatus, so was I. Apologies for that. I had to sort out some stuff.

Welcome back to another anime review. We’ve got a lot of catching up to do. One Piece Manga Chapter 992 is out after a 2-week hiatus and, the wait was worth it. I loved colored panels so much and, most importantly One Piece colored panels. The one this week is just amazing and reminds me of the good old days.

The main highlight of this episode has to be the fantabulous artwork. The fight between the Akazaya Nine and Kaido was inevitable, and we were all anxious as to what they will do.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Before diving into that, Big Mom has been explaining herself as to why she teamed up with Kaido in the first place. Marco appears and, our suspicions were confirmed. Perespero had been working undercover with Marco for fulfilling a specific role.

I assume that he and his brethren are in cahoots with the enemy to take down Big Mom. After the events of Whole cake island, I believe the kids resented Big Mom for her antics and want to take her down. I think that’s why Katukuri didn’t show up either. As per my observation, I feel this is the reason.

Marco, the Phoenix, confronts Big Mom. She insinuates that White Beard’s crew has lost their way, but Marco is here to put her in her place. She says that everyone is free to do whatever they want and is not bound by Whitebeard’s will.

I fear that an impending fight is on the way for Marco in the form of Big Mom. Ever since the Marineford war, we haven’t seen Marco in action and, the control of his powers has widened ever since. So pretty much, I guess he has transformed into a beast.

Carrot sees Perespero and wants to take revenge on him for Pedro’s death. This will be a penultimate fight that everyone has been desperately waiting for.

I don’t know how many people think this but, Oda is a chess player. He moves his pieces very carefully and initiates them in such a way that the audience attains redemption and relief in the end. He has a way of tugging our hearts where it hurts and makes us light up like a Christmas tree as well.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Black Maria is also seen plotting something in the background and, what doom awaits us, we will have to wait and see. Why do all the sinister ones have to be so gorgeous huh? 😀
I couldn’t help but gaze at this beauty.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

The next page was just mesmerizing. The detailing was truly magnificent, and the fight we have been waiting for has finally begun. Akazaya Nine V Kaido. Ever since the death of Kozuki Oden, the Akazaya Nie have been waiting for this opportunity. Twenty years of pent up frustration, despair, and remorse, are transferred to their weapons, and a full out assault has been initiated, against Kaido.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Kaido’s scales are strong and are impossible to pierce. Ryou is required to pierce him. The Akazya Nine rips him apart one by one.
Kawamatsu, with his Kappa attack cuts and slices, him up like you would an orange peel. Nekomamushi manages to injure him beneath his chin. Inuarashi saves Kawamatsu and injures Kaido as well. Okiku and Izo tag team and slice open Kaido’s hateful pride.

He wonders as to how he can be overpowered by Oden’s weak disciples. He doesn’t understand the passion and rage behind their actions. He gets taken apart one by one and, he is down for the count.

As a final move, he uses his fire breath against the whole group. Raizo appears from nowhere and uses a scroll to absorb his flame breath. He wraps Kaido in the scroll and gives Kaido a taste of his own medicine.

These series of attacks all represented the torture that Kozuki Oden had to endure during his final minutes. Being boiled alive, humiliated, and defeated. It was a perfect payback.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Oden’s disciples looked up to him and wanted to be acknowledged by him. Oden teaches them the two sword style using Ryou. A touching scene indeed and representing and fermenting the relationship between Oden and his disciples.

They all stand in heroic fashion and attack!!!!! They hit the same spot that was cut by Oden and Kaido is in unbearable pain. Kaido has received what he deserves.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

The Akazya Nine is having an advantage but will it be enough to take them out?

Until next time. See ya!

One Piece Chapter 991 : Let Us Die – Formidable Foes And Unexpected Alliances

The One Piece manga is setting up a fierce war between the animal kingdom pirates and the alliance. Things are getting heated up and, surprises pop out of nowhere in every chapter. Let’s dive in.

X Drake wishes to ally with Luffy to take down Kaido. It was presumptuous of him to think that Luffy might accept this request. He attacks the numbers as a tactic to gain trust. We get a glimpse of his conversation with Tobi.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Tobi flatters Luffy in such a way that he exists in between 2 extremes.
” When he’s a friend, he’s so close to you…but when he is an enemy, he’s completely out of reach. That’s the kind of person he is. ” He said.

I’m impressed that even though they have been apart for so long. Luffy and Tobi share an understanding of each other that is clear as day.

X Drake can’t be trusted just yet until he proves himself in front of the Strawhats. Zoro, Franky, and Jinbei disagree with what he says and, they all have their reason for it. Working under Kaido for so long and then choosing to change sides at the sign of danger. That sounds like a weakness.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Luffy, on the other hand, straightaway says that he can join them. He is so innocent and Naive. This incident brings back memories. When he asked Law if he would betray them and he said no. Of course, he hasn’t betrayed him till now and, Luffy’s guts are something to rely on. I have no doubt, it’s that gut instinct that will help him find the One Piece. 😀

Ulti and Page One notices Luffy instantly and charge to stop him. As Luffy escapes, he is followed by the two. Sanji’s eyes straight away go to the cute girl wearing the mask. It’s so obvious. 😀

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

From a far distance, a familiar sniper shoots his special attack to stop Ulti and Page one in their tracks. Ussop and Nami appear and saves the day. They are the most normal people on the crew. The others are superhumans but the definition of humans can only be coined by these guys.

We get a cute Nami v Ussop scene like always. Ussop, hidden behind Nami, talks big and gains the attention of Luffy’s pursuers. Evasion is working to their advantage and we have to agree that it is their ultimate weapon.

Luffy and Sanji rush forward and they stumble onto Scratchmen Apoo. Luffy warns Sanji beforehand to cover his ears. I believe that Luffy used Haki to see the future. The events get more interesting. A lot is going on in each cubicle and, Eichiro Oda needs to be appreciated for his effort. The detail he puts into every slide is incredible.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece
Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Scratcheman Apoo, The numbers, and a new foe have appeared, all are trying to keep Luffy away from Kaido. Nevertheless, Luffy rushes to face Kaido. The penultimate fight that is brewing is to set up Luffy’s platform. I believe that as Luffy is backed up at a corner all the straw hats will assemble to help them. Taking down Kaido is going to be a team effort and its not something that Luffy will be able to do by himself.

The thing about One Piece being a well-told story is that it makes things real. It brings wonder, a lot of fun characters, meaningful relationships, and fights that live up to the hype. A particular level of strength needs to be obtained and harnessed. The power system set up in One Piece is by far the best in any anime.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Franky leads the giant away from the Dome upon instruction by Jinbei. It is an attempt by Oda to set up a fight for Franky. The subtle clues to his storytelling are seen all over the chapter. Nami teamed up with Ussop chasing away Ulti- Page one is also a subtle foreshadowing of fights to come. As an avid One Piece fan, if your reading or watching One Piece, you’ve got to keep your heart as well as your eyes open.

X Drake and Zoro keep going against each other, arguing about him changing sides. Scratchman Apoo appears in front of them and blabber about summoning more numbers. Zoro and X Drake simultaneously attack him and subdue him. X Drake and Zoro, for a limited time, think about teaming up to take Apoo out.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Queen unexpectedly appears out of nowhere and uses an ‘uncommon’ item known to the people of Wano. Wano was always backward in progress unlike the other islands on the Grandline. Shut from the world, no resources at all, and yet this weapon was ultramodern. It manages to hurt some samurai and, X Drake is also shocked at it. At first, he doesn’t believe that he can take him out with normal bullets like that. Then he realizes that it might be something else. Drop your theories about this. Do you think it might be seastone bullets to pierce devil fruit users?

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Now we enter my most favorite part in the chapter. Nekomamushi and Inuarashi stand tall in their Sulong transformation. They manage to take out Jack, one of the top performers of Kaido. He massacred many mink tribe members and, this is a befitting end he deserved. He is down for the count and Kaido is mad at this sight. He tells Jack that he is not weak and he did his best to hold back the Sulong transformed Mink Tribe.

Oda portrayed Kaido as a drunk, vicious man who had no mercy or remorse towards anyone. He proved us wrong. Kaido cares for his crew and acknowledges him. He tells him that he has done enough and he needs to tend his wounds.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Kaido rises to the sky and uses his blast breath. He taunts the Akazaya Nine to’ run, tire and perish’. They have other things in mind. Kinemon rushes up to the flame straightforward and slashes it in half. It was one of the most epic moments. None of the Akazya Nine are backing out, and this time they are taking the fight to Kaido.

Until next time. See ya!

Haikyu!! Nekoma V Sarukawa Tech (Volume 30-Part 2) – A Review

After a long gap, we are finally back with the Haikyu!! Manga. It’s pretty hard to write manga reviews because what you read and feel cannot be directly conveyed. The vision of the author is something I cherish. I like each and everyone to feel what I feel and embrace the feeling.

The Haikyu!! Manga has been that for me. We will be shifting our focus for some time from Karasuno to Nekoma. Karasuno and Nekoma are parallel to each other. While one team, considered as an offensive, go-getter team, the other is a defensive team, smart and calm.

Chapter 265: Meanwhile, the laziest cat

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

The Nekoma team discuss with each other situations in which their team has grown. Kenma has always considered himself to be an introvert and a guy who kept to himself. Kuro is the one who changed all that for him. He got him into the sport of volleyball and they have been inseparable ever since.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Kuro starts reminiscing about old stories. He remembers Kenma used to go to sleep after a really difficult practice session, or an intense match. He felt guilty that he dragged Kenma till the nationals but he feels something has changed inside him. The fact that he might be hooked on volleyball amazes him.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Kenma gets involved in the conversation. “I don’t have any big driving reason to continue… but I don’t have any reason to quit either,” said Kenma. He is a genius but was not motivated the first time we see him. He has crossed leaps and bounds and his goals are immeasurable. He also tells his teammates that he does not want to be a sweaty guy but wants to grind for levels if he can.

Kuro believes that Kenma considers Hinata as a final boss he has to face to clear the level. Kuro has high hopes for this fine battle. The day of the match begins. It’s Nekoma V Sarukawa Tech. Both of these teams mainly focus on defense. The coach of Sarukawa Tech is a former player of Nekoma and that gives them an advantage. He knows all their moves and what they might do.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

A match in which both defenses are strong. Not one person is letting go. They’re upping the ante. Its a test of time and perseverance. The goal that Sarukawa is looking for is to take out the brain of the Nekoma formation.

Chapter 266: Cats Vs. Monkeys

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

The roots of Nekoma’s team formation is not so fine as it seems. Kenma and Tora’s relationship starts off to a rocky start. Their ideologies are so different, yet their goals are the same. Kenma as we all know is an introvert who has very little motivation to do anything. Tora is a hyperactive teenager who believes in guts and determination. He is similar to Tanaka from Karasuno.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump
Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

In their first year, both of them go through different journeys. Kenma, even though he is lazy and not so motivated he is natural at volleyball. His setting is spot on and reaches the mark. Tora tries hard but is not able to rise to the occasion. It creates a rift between these two.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

They develop and become good friends and rivals. Kenma changes a lot due to the influence of Tora and his determination. The team that Nekoma is against is trying hard to make Kenma move and run. They figure that if they tire them, there will be more openings in their defense. Even so, they strive to adjust according to the changing conditions of the game and rallies to defeat them.

Chapter 267: Trap

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Nekoma is neck and neck with Sarukawa. Sarukawa has been trying to get Kenma tired and mess up their formation but Nekoma has been trying to acclimate themselves so that it won’t happen. Defying all odds, Kenma sets the ball, and it’s a smashhhh!!!!!

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Suguru explains that it’s not an easy task to indirectly pressurize the setter. To do that the team would need a great defense themselves and perseverance. Sarukawa’s game plan is incorporated in such a way to do just that.

It becomes a very grueling battle for Nekoma. Their setter has been pushed to the limit but holds strong to receive balls. His sets are all over the place but Nekoma somehow tries to get the balls and scores. Both sides are standing tall, Kenma falls and Sarukawa has gained an advantage there.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump
Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Sarukawa’s coach being a pupil of coach Nekomata puts things into a disadvantageous perspective. He remembers the words by Coach Nekomata who said “volleyball is about constant perseverance and repetition.” You repeat the same attacks, blocks, and receives over and over and it puts indirect pressure on the team in front. This same idealogy has been used against him in the game.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Sarukawa believes that the momentum is in their hands, but Nekoma rallies with their lives on the line and scores. The score is even now but neither team loses confidence. The next rally is the most interesting. Nekoma botches a serve and it goes up next to the net. It lures the blockers like ‘moths to a flame’ and just when they notice Kenma sends the ball to the opposite side to finish it off with a smash. Everyone is shocked. The manipulation games by Nekoma is one to look out for. How long have they been doing it is the question.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Chapter 268: Kenma Kozume’s Stubbornness

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Nekoma is far ahead of their observations. They knew from the beginning that Sarukawa has been trying to tire out Kenma. They devise a plan to counteract this. Ever since Set 1, it is a miracle that Nekoma has been manipulating the other team.

The author forms teams in such a way that the team itself possesses an individual personality. In the case of Karasuno, they are offensive and an all-out crazy team. In the case of Inarizaki, every one of them is a master at their craft. When it comes to Nekoma, they use more of their brain than brawns. They can afford to play mind games as well as defend and score all the time.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

An on and off battle wages on between both teams. They want to end things quickly but that is not the case. Its a test of perseverance and the momentum will go to the team that will grab this rally. Nekoma is faced against a team consisting of the same ideologies. They are careful and execute simple plays to score points.

Kenma realizes that guts and determination may not be what it seems like. In video game terms, it is equivalent to physical and mental statistics being powered up to max. This analogy is what leads him to do the next set. He positions himself in such a way to do a perfect set and Nekom scores.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

He always says that his team is good not because he is in it but for the fact that they are all in it together. That is what volleyball is all about.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Chapter 269: Monsters

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump
Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Andddddd!!!!!!! Nekoma scores. They win this round and qualify for their next battle. Frivolous pleasantries are shared between the teammates. Kenma stepped up and helped his team win. He hilariously tells his team that he went to the distance so that he can avoid the 3rd set. It was a big no for him.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

As he looks far into the distance, he tells himself that he did all this grinding to reach the main boss, Hinata, the main boss in his game of life. For the first time in his life, he wants to play a game that will be life or death.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Kuro is a good friend and he feels that if he plays like this, he can improve even more. He firmly believes that Hinata is the only one who can bring out the aggressive side in Kenma.

Photo Courtesy : Haikyu!! – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Set 2 of the Karasuno V Inarizaki match continues. The score is 14 – 7 and Nekoma has come to see their rivals play. Nishinoya is backed into a corner. He is being targetted by Atsumu Miya’s float servers. Inarizaki tries to target the Guardian angel of Karasuno to depreciate their morals. The Humiliation of getting picked on is being faced by Nishinoya. Will they succeed in destroying Nishinoya or will he rise to seize the day?

Until next time. See ya!!!!!

Boruto Chapter 50 : Potential Value

The Boruto manga has reached a point where our main characters are at an impasse. Ishikki Otsutsuki proves to be a formidable foe and nothing is going to stop him from accomplishing his goal.

Boruto teleports them all to another dimension. He uses his intellect and wit to achieve this magnificent feat. Naruto is very impressed that he might be a splitting image of himself.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Ishiki Otsutsukki is enraged and charges towards Boruto. In a flash he subdues him. This chapter provided facts regarding Boruto’s transformation. In the fight between Boro and Boruto, the transformation was a sign of 70-80% of the manifestation of Otsutki genes inside Boruto. Ishikki notices this and wants to see the full extent of his latent abilities.

Sasuke uses his Rinnegan abilities and switches places with Boruto. He uses Chidori on Ishikki but he evades and sends him flying. Fearing for his son’s life, Naruto asks Boruto to leave but Ishikki’s thirst for destruction has just begun.

Ishikki’s powers are even higher than we anticipated. He whisks Boruto away in the blink of an eye and no one can do anything about it. The author has subtly shown the power differences between these characters. Naruto and Sasuke have faced a lot of foes but this is one that they have not looked into.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Kawaki dreams about his creation. He was bestowed with the Karma seal as a symbol of his oppression. Kawaki went through a tough childhood and despised himself and his abilities for such a long time,

He wakes up from his sleep and sees Amado sitting next to him. Amado briefs him about his whereabouts and the events that took place while he was unconscious. The Leaf Village is not able to locate Boruto’s Chakra as well as Naruto’s and Sasuke’s.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Shikamaru explains to Kawaki that his karma has disappeared and he is a free bird. Kawaki knows the situation he is in and the unparalleled strength of Ishikki. Until Ishiki’s demise, Kawaki can never be a free spirit. They plan to wait out a few days so that Ishiki’s life force can gradually decrease. In doing so he will get weak and die and there will be no way he can implant a new Karma seal on Kawaki.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Naruto and Sasuke battle it out with Ishikki. Ishikki in this form skillfully dodges all their advances. Sasuke while fighting with his katana, is stopped instantly from attacking. His Katana has been shrunk to a miniature size and he is smacked on the face with a stick.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump
Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

He is down for the count and exhausted. Ishikki is a bigger foe than we knew. He sets his eyes on killing Sasuke. It is very hard to believe that Sasuke could be taken down with something as meager as a smack, but of course Its Boruto’s show. Even Naruto in his nine tails form is not a match for Ishikki. Ishhikki pulls out all the stops and takes down the most powerful Shinobi in the world. It is a testament to his true strength.

Shikamaru and the other discuss Boruto’s new ability. Amado suggests that Boruto has realized something about Ishikki that none of the others can notice. It is a spectacle seeing him grow up from that snotty-nosed brat into an intellectual shinobi.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Boruto dives in front of Ishikki as he is about to execute Sasuke. He takes Sasuke to a safe place and evades Ishikki. He figures that something odd is going on with Ishikki. It was quite valiant of him to sacrifice his life like that to save his teacher. Boruto has received the respect of the entire Naruto fandom with that single action.

Amado tells them that, Boruto might as well be the ‘Key’ to winning this fight. He might be the one to stop Ishikki.

Photo Courtesy : Boruto: Naruto Next Generations– Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

I believe that according to the law of the Otsutsuki clan, killing is prohibited between the members. The transfer of power is the only way to end someone’s life and for that to happen they need consent. Momoshiki was the one who consumed one of his disciples. At the beginning of Boruto, if you remember Toneri, the clan member who lived on the moon wasn’t killed by Momishiki, he was just petrified, turned into stone. According to these laws killing within the clan is humanely impossible for Ishikki Otsutsuki and hence Boruto cannot be killed. He might be the only one who can defeat Ishikki Otsutsuki.

Tell me what your views are on my theory. Until Next time. See ya!

One Piece Chapter 990 : Army Of One – A New Ally?

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to another fun-filled anime review.

Eichiro Oda has been pulling all the stops in writing the Wano war arc. Every week a lot of twists and turns come up to excite One PIece fans. This week is no different. Let’s dive into Chapter 990 of One Piece.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Kaido goes against the whole mink tribe. As strong as he is it is a tedious task to go against the ‘Sulong’ transformed creatures. Even Jack, one of Kaido’s commanders gets what he deserves. As Kinemom gets ready to attack Jack, he is interrupted by Nekomushi and Dogstorm. They tell him that they will take care of Jack.

Jack is the pirate who decimated Zou in search of Raizo. He killed many of the mink members and destroyed their village. There is a long due of vengeance left and Oda offers up the fiendish foe to his grave. They tackle Jack ferociously. This part was especially satisfying because he got paid back for the atrocious crimes he had committed.

At the performance stage, Queen and King discuss the inmates who escaped Udon Prison. Old Man Hyogor and a lot of samurai imprisoned for rebelling against Orochi were imprisoned down there. Now all of them want revenge for the injustice caused to them. Monkey D Luffy leads the whole alliance.

King contact the tobbi-roppo. He explains that the situation has changed and there are 5000 members of the resistance attacking Kaido’s army of 30000 people. The odds of that are unprecedented but is in the favor of Luffy’s alliance.

A few moments before that Hawkins acts suspicious of X Drake and thinks that he might betray them. He tells him that if you are going to betray them, you should do it now. He prophesizes using his cards that there is a 1% chance of someone surviving the next day.

King explains that capturing Yamato is no longer a priority. Stopping the straw hats from heading over to Kaido is their current objective now. Everyone gets ready to attack the alliance.

Who’s who approaches X-Drake. He is also a traitor like X- Drake and has a goal to eliminate someone from inside Kaido’s organization. He wants to kill Queen and asks for X- Drake’s help.

As King looks into the performance stage, The straw hats and the Yakuza push forward to defeat the giants. The Yakuza faced with a predicament have to face Orochi’s ninja forces as well as the giants. They assure that they will take the straw hats to where they need to go and tell them to reserve their strength.

Unlike any shonen character, we know the Strawhats don’t do that. Each one of them is a monster, and the stamina and energy are unparalleled to anything in this world. During the Thriller Bark arc, the straw hats face Oars, a giant creature who was similar to these creatures. All of them together defeated him and almost got killed but the times have changed now. The Strawhats members have one more person now and their power level has tripled and quadrupled immensely.

Luffy, Zoro, and JInbe move to attack. Zoro slashes and dices, Jinbe stops the monsters’ metal club with his bare hands and Luffy goes Gear fourth and takes the monster out. The straw hats remember their time together in thriller bark which was a long time ago. We have never got the Strawhats together like this ever since Fishman arc. The hype is real and the straw hats are not messing around. This war is taking a twist for the better. Oda Senpai, Thank you!!!!.
Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Drake has the living daylights knocked out of him by Queen. Whos WHo double-crossed Drake and sided with Queen. He might as well be executed at this point but he transforms and tries to escape. He thinks to himself, is there even a way to escape from this hell hole?

He remembers that Tobi, yes Luffy’s friend from episode 1 of One Piece, told him that Luffy- San is awesome. As he falls from the sky he takes down a giant simultaneously with Luffy.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

” Strawhat Luffy !! For Reasons I cannot say now, I am an army of One!! Please let me fight on your side!! ” he says.

Luffy’s reaction to this priceless and I bet the readers had a similar reaction as his. Every page of this manga is filled with twists and turns. I cant wait to see how this spectacle of a story turns out. This could be the greatest story that anyone has ever told.

Until Next time. See ya!

Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 1 ( Part – 1 )

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to another anime review.

It’s been a long time since I’ve reviewed this manga and I thought better late than never. Let’s discuss Jujutsu Kaisen.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It revolves around a highschool boy who swallows a cursed object and then shares his body with an evil spirit. He learns how to control that power and becomes a jujutsu sorcerer. The mysteries and emotions behind death are one of the highlights that this manga follows.

Chapter 2: Secret Execution

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Yuji wakes up and realizes that he is shackled to a chair. Sitting in front of him is an unfamiliar character who goes by the name, Satoru Goju. He introduces himself as a teacher at Jujustsu Highschool.

He warns Itadori that this is his secret execution. According to Jujustsu sorcerer laws a cursed human has to be executed. Satoru Goju has plans to turn him into a vessel so that he can consume all 20 parts of Sakuna, the cursed spirit.

Choices are given to Itadori on what he wishes to do. Die Now, or after consuming all Sakuna’s parts. Satoru Gojo tests Itadori back at school and sees if he can handle the monster within. He passes with flying colors but faints out of exhaustion.

A vessel like this only appears every 1000 years. The execution of Yuji might lead to slim chances to destroy Sakuna ever. Yuji visits his classmates in the hospital. He witnesses the after-effects of the damage caused to his friends. Sasaki weeps for her friend and blames herself. Yuji consoles her and tells her ints not her fault.

Yuji Itadori is portrayed as a caring character. He is not blind to the unfortunate circumstances people go through because of the curses. He wishes to sincerely do something to curb this outcome. He decides to go along with Satoru Goju’s plan and consume all Sakuna’s part before he is killed.

His late grandfather said, “When its time to go, make sure you’re surrounded by others.” These words have been the driving force for Itadori to make this decision. He swallows the second piece of Sakuna’s body and gains control over the spirit.

Impressed by Itadori’s feats, Satoru Goju enrolls him in Tokyo Prefectural Jujustsu high school.

Chapter 3: For Myself

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

The scenery of the highschool is traditional. It is located high up in the mountains and is also used as a base for Jujustsu sorcerers to reside. Yuji and Satoru walk through the bushes to meet the principal of the high school.

The artwork in the manga is breathtaking. Each page looks spectacular and bodes well for the genre of the series.

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Sakuna is a demon with four arms and two faces as per Gojo’s description. He is a demon of legend. Sakuna rears its mouth through Yuji and threatens to kill Goju first, once he possesses the kid’s body. Gojo is quite honored and accepts his challenge.

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Satoru Gojo’s character up until now is a breath of fresh air. He is calm all the time and fights like a professional. No loose ends and no messes.

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Yuji meets with the principal of Jujutsu High school, Masamichi Yaga. He looks like a cool guy but his morals and methods are different. Yuji is asked a question as to why he wants to be a Jujustsu sorcerer. He replies saying that he wants to consume Sakuna and pay homage to his grandfather’s last wish.

The reality of becoming a Jujutsu sorcerer is quite different. The motivation required to come to terms with death and curses must be your own. As Yuji goes against the principal’s puppet, he thinks about why he wants to do it. He realizes he cannot burden anyone with his decision and wants to do good.

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

“I’m not gonna regret the way I live,” he says and passes the principal’s test. The series sets its basic premise up very well and the idealogy behind everyone’s action. The build-up of the story is very appreciative of the characters and that is what an anime should be like.

He moves into the dorm, meets Megumi who has been rested up and is now ready to go. Gojo tells them Yuji that he is a radar for the rest of the pieces of Sakuna and to find them is not an easy task. A large open world quest is about to begin according to these words.

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

They set off to bring the third recruit back to Tokyo. Morioka is where they will find Jujutsu High first-year Nobara Kugisaki.

Chapter 4: Girl Of Steel

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Nobara Kugasaki is a typical high school girl. A bit quirky and a bit condescending. She judges people before she knows them but its a part of her charms and we cannot disagree.

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Now that all the three students are together they head off to the countryside for a test. Roppongi, a less populated area of Tokyo is their destination.

A cemetery and an abandoned building are seen in that area. Jujutsu Kaisen subtly iterates its premise and workings. Megumi points out that it’s not the cemetery that is the cause of the curse but the fear and feelings behind the notion of ghosts and spirits. It is quite a predicament that Jujutsu sorcerers have to go through but it is a necessary evil they have to face to protect people.

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

The interactions between all members are very interesting. The story playfully presents the initial impressions of the characters and slowly creates situations for them to understand the worth of certain things. To change in different ways and to enhance themselves is the goal.

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

This location is the place where Goju means to test Yuji and Nobara. He sens them in to face curses. Since Yuji is not familiar with using spells to expel curses he is given a dagger named slaughter demon. Yuji and Nobara instantly encounter curses and their test begins.

Photo Courtesy : Jujutsu Kaisen – Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump

Yuji takes down his enemy with brute force. He is rather impressed with himself. Nobara is next and she has a tough one on her hands.

Until next time. See ya!

One Piece Chapter 989 : I Can’t Imagine Losing – The New Strawhat Formation

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to another fun-filled anime review.

One Piece is picking up the pace and with its latest chapter, the excitement continues. In the previous chapter, Franky rode in a motorbike and revved it up on Big Mom’s face. There was nothing more satisfying than that.

For a long time, we hadn’t seen Franky in action. The whole cake island Arc he wasn’t there and finally in Wano we get to see him fight.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Big Mom is not even shaken by this attempt to stop her. She compliments Brooke for his vivid collection of members in the straw hats.
Franky teasingly asks if she liked his bike.

Nami is pretty tensed and warns Franky that Big Mom is an emperor. He asks Nami if she was trying to make Luffy the pirate king or not?

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Franky’s confidence and bravado make you want to see him more. He is pretty adamant in defeating Big Mom. In that instant 3 giants called the Numbers to join the fight. They are a race similar to Oars from Thriller Bark. They were giants that Kaido brought in from Punk Hazard.

This war is the culmination of everything that has happened ever since the time skip. The path leading from Punk Hazard to Wano paves the way for this War.

Eichiro Oda, the author of One Piece said that the Marineford arc would look like child’s play in front of the Wano Kuni War and he might be right. He is pulling the stops on this war arc and making every chapter exciting. To bring all these elements from the stories he has portrayed is a magnificent feat. No wonder people call him Goda.

Franky notices something suspicious in the Giant’s hands. It is the Branchio tank. Ussop and Chopper are still in there.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Franky’s sights diverted, Big Mom attacks from behind. Jinbe pulls back her hand and flips her using Fishman Judo. With the help of Nico Robin, she rolls down like a ball of hay in a storm. It was pure One Piece hilariousness.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

This is what has been missing from One Piece the past few arcs. The whole crew together again and cooperating in this fashion. The beauty of friendship and adventure. That is what One Piece is about. With this Jinbe has made his mark in the war as a member of the Strawhats ♥️.

The Captain of the Strawhats Monkey D Luffy rushes towards Kaido. As he rockets upwards he meets Zoro and Queen. Zoro casually joins along to beat up Kaido. At that very instant Queen transforms into his Zoan form and bites into Luffy. King also arrives at the scene to take care of business.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

The Strawhats have this special ability to influence the environment they are in. The battles inside Onagashima keep getting better and better and all the allied forces are hyped up due to this. Old Man Hyogor claims that even if hope looks slim since the Strawhats are there he feels everything is going to be fine.

The main highlight of this chapter is the money shot at the end. The Strawhats with its new member standing in a very cool formation. Eichiro Oda subtly discuses the power scaling between Luffy’s crew and what to expect for the future. Damn it’s a pretty good time to be a One Piece fan.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Luffy heads on up to beat up Kaido while Zoro and Sanji face off against Queen and King respectively. Each chapter presents a sense of excitement and that is what One Piece is all about. The Cogs and Gears are finally aligning together to form a hell of a great series. The fight for Wano and the dominance of the ocean continues.

Until next time. See ya!

One Piece Chapter 987 : Vassals of Glory – The Fight For Wano’s Freedom Errupts

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to another adventurous anime review.
Today we will be discussing One Piece Chapter 987.
For some weeks now this chapter has claimed to be very emotional by none other than Eichiro Oda’s editor, Takano Ken.
Let’s dive in and see what’s in store.

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eichiro Oda. It revolves around the adventures of Monkey D Luffy and his pirate crew, the straw hats. This adventure has been the culmination of true friendship and storytelling like never before.

Chapter 987 brings all the excitement towards its viewers. The culmination of a string of stories after the time-skip has led to this exact moment. The war on Kaido has begun. Punk Hazard, Dressrosa, Zou, and finally Wano. These were the arcs that defined each character of the Akazaya nine and led to this moment.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

As Kaido is being pushed down from the ledge of the stage by the Akazaya nine, he remembers how Kozuki Oden talked about this day. The wounds and memories all come rushing back to Kaido. Kaido screams with excruciating pain. The scar he received from Oden resonates with the swords of the AKazaya Nine. He expects that they use the same Ryou as he once did.

Ulti and Yamato cross paths with each other. Ulti is back for revenge and wants to know why Yamato is doing all this. She explains to her that it’s her time to be Kozuki Oden. Big Mom spots Straw Hat Luffy and charges toward him. Nami and Carrot escape from the clutches of Big Mom’s sinister pets.

Kaido is finally able to join the dots of the Akazaya nine’s plans. He understands the plan has been set from Punk Hazard to Wano. People have recruited for the same cause, some traveled through time and some have endured through the ages to meet for this exact reason. Kaido mocks Kinemon and tells him that pirates always betray people and run away at the first sign of danger. The vendetta against Kaido boils inside Kinemon. ” He will one day stand at the pinnacle of the sea!! If every last one of us dies, he will remain!!! ” Kinemon says. The belief that they have for Luffy to become the pirate king is tremendous. This page is what makes One Piece, epic. It brings its viewers to their knees.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

The alliance goes all out in the performance stage. The prisoners who escaped from Udon prison, The samurai of Wano, the Yakuza, Strawhat Pirates, Law, Eutass Kid, and Marco the phoenix have all assembled to fight for their lives and for the freedom of Wano.

Big Mom taunts Luffy. She makes fun of him for trying to challenge Kaido. His reply shocks the entire place up and fills it with energy. “It’s an all-out war!! I came here to whoop the whole lot of you !!” Luffy screams. Luffy has been enduring the wrath of the Yonko’s ever since the whole cake island. Determined to stop Big Mom and Kaido, he will defeat them with the help of the alliance. His growth in the series is tremendous and this will be the first step to becoming ‘ The King of the Pirates .’

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Kaido hears the challenge towards him. He accepts and transforms into his dragon form to fight outside. Kinemon grabs a hold of him and transports out of Onagashima.

The Akazaya Nine stand tall against the might of Kaido. A twist in the story has finally arrived. They predicted that Kaido will transform and battle in his dragon form. It is a full moon night and for the mink tribe that means only one thing. They can achieve their powerful ‘Sulong’ form. the anticipation for the next episode is high.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Will Nekamamushi and the mink tribe’s power be enough to stop Kaido
Or Will Kaido overpower them once again like before?

To Be Continued.
Until next time! See ya!

One Piece Chapter 986 : My Name – A Review

Hey, everyone!
Welcome back to another anime review.
Today we will be discussing One Piece Chapter 986.
Let’s dive in.

Introduction:

One Piece is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Eichiro Oda. It revolves around Monkey D Luffy and the straw hat pirates. Luffy aims to become the pirate king and along with Strawhats, he wishes to bring a change to the pirate era.

The 9 Red Scabbards:

Tanjiro and Kinemon go up the rear entrance to where the battle waged on between the others and the traitor Kanjuro. When they arrive, they see Kanjiro’s dead body. We see the dread and despair in the eys of Kiku and Raizo as their ally who went through everything with them lies on the ground. We are taken back to the olden days when Kozuki Oden took everyone in and treated them as their own. The story of Kozuki Oden and his life will always be a boon to the One Piece community. Kanjuro was a traitor but he was a friend and an ally and that loss is not something that everyone can brush away.

Kinemon and Tanjiro notice Izo immediately and are surprised that he is here. “I’ve missed too many chances for a glorious and meaningful death. ” Izo says. Momonuske is set to be executed soon and they hurry towards the main stage.

The Main Stage:

Kaido asks Orochi’s followers if they would join him or rather fight trying to avenge their master. Intimidated and scared, everyone chooses the easy way out and is glad to join Kaido’s forces.

Big Mom has captured Nami and Carrot with objects she gave souls to. They are subdued and Nami is hoping that she didn’t see Shinobu. She wants Shinobu to reach Momonuske as soon as she can.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Kaido doubts on the origin of the child. He feels that the little kid is lying that he is Kozuki Oden’s son. He asks again and again if he is the son of Kozuki Oden. “This execution is to bring an end to the Old Wano. ” Kaido says. ” What is your name? ” he asks relentlessly.

Momonusuke has evolved so much ever since we met him at Punk Hazard. The crying boy has become a valiant man who does not give up in the face of the enemy. He has shown determination and perseverance and the way that Oda has built him up to this moment is truly amazing. It depicts the skill of character development by Eichiro Oda.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Luffy tells Yamato about almost everything that has happened until now. The red scabbards and about Momonuske traveling through time. She is astonished that he is Kozuki Oden’s son. Luffy takes off Yamato’s cuffs but she warns Luffy to throw them away just in case they explode.

Adrenaline is pumping as Chopper and Ussop move quickly towards the main stage in the General Franky Robot. They have heard the announcement about the execution and are rushing there right now.

Ronoroa Zoro, Eustass Kid, and Trafalgar Law are all slaying people and approaching the main stage as well. The War for Wano is about to start soon. 😀

Momonosuke remembers the encouraging words said by his sister Hiyori and by Luffy. ” My name is Kozuki Momonosuke!! The Man Who Will Be Shogun of Wano ” he proclaims proudly. With fear and tremble in his eyes, he is ready to face the consequences like a man.

Luffy and Yamato enter the stage. The cuffs put on Yamato’s hands were exploding ones and it creates a really big distraction. Enraged Yamato is determined and poised to kill her father.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

Luffy stops Yamato from making any sudden moves. ” But we’re not the ones who start this battle,” says Luffy. I appreciate how most of the time when an attack occurs Luffy is the one to jump in front of the action. This time he is not rash and understands the pain the people of Wano went through and the remorse they feel after their Shogun was burned alive right in front of their eyes. He wants them to take control of their destiny and fight this tyranny.

Photo courtesy : Shueisha Shonen Jump Weekly – One Piece

King, Queen, and Jack are astonished at the return of old foes. The Red Scabbards attack in synchronized formation. All the emotions, the worries, the sacrifices, and the memories of Kozuki Oden all fuel this one single attack. They push Kaido off the railing and finally, the war for Wano Kuni has begun.

Review:

Chapter 986 marks the beginning of the War. It has been built up every since Punk Hazard and the start is all we had expected for. The hype is real and what awaits us is in the upcoming chapter is going to change One Piece entirely. Eichiro Oda knows to flush out all characters and knows how to convey the emotions of these characters towards us. This is what makes One Piece amazing.
