As Oda Senpai was on a 2-week hiatus, so was I. Apologies for that. I had to sort out some stuff.
Welcome back to another anime review. We’ve got a lot of catching up to do. One Piece Manga Chapter 992 is out after a 2-week hiatus and, the wait was worth it. I loved colored panels so much and, most importantly One Piece colored panels. The one this week is just amazing and reminds me of the good old days.
The main highlight of this episode has to be the fantabulous artwork. The fight between the Akazaya Nine and Kaido was inevitable, and we were all anxious as to what they will do.
Before diving into that, Big Mom has been explaining herself as to why she teamed up with Kaido in the first place. Marco appears and, our suspicions were confirmed. Perespero had been working undercover with Marco for fulfilling a specific role.
I assume that he and his brethren are in cahoots with the enemy to take down Big Mom. After the events of Whole cake island, I believe the kids resented Big Mom for her antics and want to take her down. I think that’s why Katukuri didn’t show up either. As per my observation, I feel this is the reason.
Marco, the Phoenix, confronts Big Mom. She insinuates that White Beard’s crew has lost their way, but Marco is here to put her in her place. She says that everyone is free to do whatever they want and is not bound by Whitebeard’s will.
I fear that an impending fight is on the way for Marco in the form of Big Mom. Ever since the Marineford war, we haven’t seen Marco in action and, the control of his powers has widened ever since. So pretty much, I guess he has transformed into a beast.
Carrot sees Perespero and wants to take revenge on him for Pedro’s death. This will be a penultimate fight that everyone has been desperately waiting for.
I don’t know how many people think this but, Oda is a chess player. He moves his pieces very carefully and initiates them in such a way that the audience attains redemption and relief in the end. He has a way of tugging our hearts where it hurts and makes us light up like a Christmas tree as well.
Black Maria is also seen plotting something in the background and, what doom awaits us, we will have to wait and see. Why do all the sinister ones have to be so gorgeous huh? 😀
I couldn’t help but gaze at this beauty.
The next page was just mesmerizing. The detailing was truly magnificent, and the fight we have been waiting for has finally begun. Akazaya Nine V Kaido. Ever since the death of Kozuki Oden, the Akazaya Nie have been waiting for this opportunity. Twenty years of pent up frustration, despair, and remorse, are transferred to their weapons, and a full out assault has been initiated, against Kaido.
Kaido’s scales are strong and are impossible to pierce. Ryou is required to pierce him. The Akazya Nine rips him apart one by one.
Kawamatsu, with his Kappa attack cuts and slices, him up like you would an orange peel. Nekomamushi manages to injure him beneath his chin. Inuarashi saves Kawamatsu and injures Kaido as well. Okiku and Izo tag team and slice open Kaido’s hateful pride.
He wonders as to how he can be overpowered by Oden’s weak disciples. He doesn’t understand the passion and rage behind their actions. He gets taken apart one by one and, he is down for the count.
As a final move, he uses his fire breath against the whole group. Raizo appears from nowhere and uses a scroll to absorb his flame breath. He wraps Kaido in the scroll and gives Kaido a taste of his own medicine.
These series of attacks all represented the torture that Kozuki Oden had to endure during his final minutes. Being boiled alive, humiliated, and defeated. It was a perfect payback.
Oden’s disciples looked up to him and wanted to be acknowledged by him. Oden teaches them the two sword style using Ryou. A touching scene indeed and representing and fermenting the relationship between Oden and his disciples.
They all stand in heroic fashion and attack!!!!! They hit the same spot that was cut by Oden and Kaido is in unbearable pain. Kaido has received what he deserves.
The Akazya Nine is having an advantage but will it be enough to take them out?
Until next time. See ya!
